Helping real estate professionals stay SANE

WaPropLaw.com is a new informational website written to explain the basics of real estate law in simple terms. Our goal is to be the go-to resource for Washington real estate professionals seeking information to help them navigate the complicated regulatory landscape.

We created this website because we were disappointed by other informational resources online. Many other websites provide inaccurate, incomplete, or sanitized information designed to sell you a service you don’t need. Real estate professionals don’t need a sales pitch, they need straight talk from knowledgable sources. That’s why our contributors consist of attorneys, property owners, business owners, architects, and realtors working mostly in King and Pierce Counties. Many of our articles are contributed anonymously so that the writers can speak honestly without their businesses becoming politicized.

Landlord-Tenant Law

It’s getting scary out there. Washington landlord-tenant laws have never been worse for landlords, but that doesn’t mean things are great for tenants either. Check out our landlord-tenant articles for the latest updates.

Construction Law

If you’re a contractor, you need to protect your lien rights and ability to cure defects. If you’re a homeowner, you need to make sure you don’t get scammed by an unscrupulous contractor.

Housing Policy and Land Use

Developers, homeowners, warring neighbors, and property owners of all kinds will eventually have a run-in with land use law: permitting, subdivisions, easements, adverse possession, purchase and sale agreements

If we can agree on one thing, let’s work on it together
